Take Charge Brandi

Take Charge Brandi has been sidelined with a knee chip sustained in a workout on Monday. The D. Wayne Lukas trained filly was set to race against Bob Baffert’s colt, American Pharaoh, in the Rebel Stakes at Arkansas on Saturday. Worse than that, this knocks Take Charge Brandi out of the Kentucky Oaks on May 1st.

The good news is she is expected to make a full recovery which will take about two months. You will recall that Take Charge Brandi was the two year old that won Breeders Cup Juvenile Fillies at 61-1 odds.
